The Law of Attraction
For anyone that wants to explore the Law of Attraction more deeply, here is an overview introducing a collection of in-depth articles covering this topic.
You may have heard of the popular book and movie called "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne that revealed the Law of Attraction to a wider audience back in 2006.
In the book, a number of highly respected experts in this field shared some of their knowledge and insights into how best to make use of this law in ways that can have a positive effect on a person's life.
Let's first take a look at what the Law of attraction actually is.
What is the Law of Attraction?
This concept is based on theories related to the world of quantum physics, where it is reasoned that everything is energy.
Energy is a constantly moving thing that vibrates on certain frequencies depending on certain criteria affecting each mass of energy.
The law of attraction comes into the picture because it has been shown in quantum experiments that like energy (energy vibrating at a certain frequency) will attract like energy (energy vibrating on the same frequency).
Everything is energy, from the things we can't humanly see or perceive such as light waves and radio waves etc to the thing we can perceive, such as water, rock, living creatures etc.
All things we know about in the physical world are attracted to one another if they are on the same wavelength.
Thoughts are Things
It can be taken a step further to reason that as there are many things that we cannot perceive with our senses, it makes sense to realize that our very thoughts are also energy forms.
Go another step further to realize that our brains are not only creators but also transmitters and receivers of thought waves or thought energy.
We already know that we can sense what other people are feeling, but may not know that it is possible because our emotions are guided by our thoughts, both of which are transmitted like radio waves outward into the air. These waves are likewise received by other people, many of whom describe it as feeling a certain "vibe" when we are in close proximity to other people.
We are attracted to people who are feeling the same way as we are, as in the concept of like attracts like. When we're feeling happy, we are attracted to and attract other people who are also feeling happy.
Likewise, when we're feeling sad, we are attracted to (and attract) other sad people. You can test this out for yourself by noticing who you gravitate to or who gravitates to you next time you're feeling particularly unhappy (or conversely, really happy).
Attracting What We Want
You can use this knowledge to improve your own life in many ways by harnessing this power to attract to you the things that you want in life.
Of course, it's not as simple as merely wishing a thing into existence and watching it magically appear before your very eyes!
However, when you can combine the thought of possessing a certain thing that you desire with the feeling of actually having it and keeping that process going in your mind constantly, your frequency of vibration can attract people and circumstances on the same frequency that can be involved in making your desire a reality.
Summing Up
The law of attraction is to all intents and purposes a very real phenomenon and it is working all the time, whether you know it or not and whether you direct it by controlling your thoughts or having it control you randomly.
