Do affirmations work?

Can you stand in front of the mirror and make a statement that deep down you don’t agree with?

Such as money comes to me easily and effortlessly,

While swimming in debt and going to a job, where you make barely enough to get by?

This may not be your life but for people doing affirmations they want to make changes and they want them fast.

So what are the best way to do the law of attraction affirmations?

Affirmations are best said when you’re already telling yourself a negative affirmation.

For example, if you catch yourself saying ‘ I can’t do this I always screw up’

Then that is the time to do an affirmation.

Now the best affirmations are statements that you can say that you already have evidence for.

Let me explain.

Let’s say you say to your self ‘I can’t do this I am such a screw up’ You then want to think of a time when you did achieve something.

Whether it be passing your exams, your driving test, or landed a job.

This is all evidence that your not a ‘screw up’ because you achieved those things.

So when you say that negative affirmation say to yourself the opposite, I achieve more and more each day just like I did when I passed my exams as well as landing a position at my company.

Adding evidence, changes your outlook, over time when you realign your focus from thinking you’re a screw up to an achiever.

You will start to believe in yourself more and as a result, you will accomplish more.

Now if you want to make the law of attraction work, think of what you want and think of a time when you received what you want in the past.

For example, think of all the time you received money

This will put you in the mindset that you can make more money.

For example, if you say ‘ Money comes to me easily and effortlessly because it comes from my job as well as other avenues that I am pursuing that has proven to work for others’

I am currently attracting my dream house just like I attracted my previous homes’

When it comes to affirmations I highly recommend a thought diary.

A thought diary is a simple notepad when you keep track of your thoughts in the hopes of turning them from negative to positive.

What you want to do is carry around the notepad and when you say anything negative write it down in your thought diary.

Keep doing this for 1-2 weeks.

Then look at your notepad and for each negative affirmation, think of an opposite you could say, a more positive affirmation and find evidence to back up that statement.

It is best to put this under your negative affirmation so leave a space below each negative affirmation in the thought diary.

Then over the next two weeks

When you find yourself saying the negative affirmation, take a look in your thought diary and look up that affirmation and say to yourself the positive affirmation and the statement.

You want to make this a habit and as you keep changing your focus, your outlook will change and the world you see will change.

Over time you will start to memorize the positive affirmations and you will start to think more positively attracting more things to be positive about.

You will find yourself achieving more because you will have positive self-talk and you will start to believe in your self a lot more.
